Peelings
Peeling treatment removes the upper layer of the skin and increases cell renewal, resulting in a healthier skin. Peeling can be done chemically or using laser systems.
Superficial, medium or deep peeling agents can be used in chemical peeling. In clinical practice, superficial peeling agents such as alpha hydroxy acids (AHA), salicylic acid, Jessner solution, 15-20% TCA and retinoids, or medium-depth peeling agents such as 35-40% TCA, 70% glycolic acid are preferred. Peeling can also be done with laser. Superficial, medium or deep peeling can be performed with Erbium-yag laser. With laser peeling, a controlled peeling process is achieved by adjusting the dose according to the individual.
With the peeling process:
• Spots on the skin resulting from sun damage
• Light or medium depth wrinkles
• Acne and acne scars
• Enlarged pores
• The dull appearance of the skin is treated.
