Filler Injections
During aging, dermal collagen, hyaluronic acid and elastin on the face decrease over time; the skin becomes thinner and loses its elasticity. Botulinum toxin injections are beneficial to eliminate dynamic wrinkles caused by muscle contractions, especially in the upper 1/3 of the face.
In the lower 2/3 of the face, volume loss, laxity and sagging are more evident. For this reason, dermal filler injections allow rejuvenation in this part of the face. Dermal filler products correct wrinkles and improve facial contour by filling volume deficiencies in the dermis layer of the skin and subcutaneous tissue.
Hyaluronic acid is a component of human connective tissue, and fillers containing hyaluronic acid are frequently used in injections. Hyaluronic acid filler products are supplied in ready-made syringes. The majority of fillers contain a substance called lidocaine, which has an anesthetic effect. This makes the procedure more comfortable for the patient and the physician, as the feeling of pain is reduced.

In terms of the physician's success and the patient's satisfaction, it is very important to evaluate the patient's demands and expectations in detail before the procedure and to explain to the patient in detail the situations that may be encountered after the procedure. The way to do this is to take a detailed history from the patient, perform an examination, and then create a personalized action plan.
To which areas and for what purpose is filler applied?
Filler injections are often used to support the fat compartments in the mid-face, whose volume decreases with age, to highlight the jawline, to fill the hollows under the eyes, to provide volume to the lips and to highlight the cheekbones. With these applications, fine and deep wrinkles on the skin are eliminated, while the moisture content of the skin increases and the skin gains a brighter appearance due to the high water absorption capacity of hyaluronic acid.
How is the filler applied?
Before filling applications, the patient's face is numbed with a local anesthetic cream. After cleaning the area to be applied, the injection is made through a cannula or needle. The procedure time and the amount of filler to be used vary depending on the area to be applied and the needs of the person. After the procedure, the patient can directly see the results of the procedure, which is the most important advantage of filler injections.
Who cannot have filler injection?
