Treatment of Hyperhydrosis with Botulinum Toxin

Apart from cosmetic use, botulinum toxin is also applied in case of hyperhidrosis, that is, excessive sweating. Excessive sweating is a condition that affects a person's social and business life. This problem can be treated with botulinum toxin.

To which areas is botulinum toxin applied in the treatment of sweating?

It is applied to the armpit, palm and sole areas.

How long is the effect duration?

It is approximately 3-4 months in proportion to the lifespan of the toxin. Although it varies from person to person, the effect can rarely last up to 6 months.

Is there any harm to health in preventing sweating with botulinum toxin?

There are sweat glands in many parts of our body. Although sweating in a certain area is stopped with botulinum toxin injection, it does not cause any health problems since sweat gland activity continues in other areas.
